Royal Rajasthan on Wheels has 7N/8D itinerary of the luxury train that has been specifically designed to enable guests a taste of the royalty of India, and exhibits the royal heritage treasure of India.

Detailed Itinerary for

Day 1 - Delhi
Arrive in the city of Delhi and assemble at the Safdarjung Railway Station by 17:00 hours. After a traditional welcome, the attendants of the luxury train will escort you till your cabins. Settle yourself comfortably before you proceed towards the first destination in the circuit Jodhpur. Dinner and overnight stay onboard the train.

Day 2 - Jodhpur
Arrive in the city by 06:00 hours and post-breakfast embark on city tours across the 'Blue City' in India. Visit the attractions such as Jaswant Thada, Mehrangarh Fort, and the Umaid Bhawan Place. Assemble back at the train by 16:00 hours. Soon you will be travelling to the next destination, Udaipur known as the city of lakes. Dinner and Overnight on board.

Day 3 - Udaipur/ Chittorgarh
On the 3rd day of the trip, you will land in Udaipur in the wee hours of the morning. Known as the city of Lakes, Udaipur is home to a number of regal monuments including the City Palace complex, the Lake Palace, the Jagdish temple, and the Jag Mandir. Visit these attractions to complete your trip in the city. Later half, the guest will visit the next destination – the historical town of Chittorgarh. Nestled at a distance of about 112 km away from Udaipur, Chittorgarh is best visited for the Chittorgarh fort complex.

Assemble at the Udaipur station in the evening to proceed on towards the next destination, Sawai Madhopur. Dinner and overnight stay aboard the train.

Day 4 - Sawai Madhopur/ Jaipur
Arrive in Sawai Madhopur by 05:00 hours. Sawai Madhopur is best visited by guests traveling to the Ranthambore National Park. An early morning trip to the park will be a good option as the cool morning ambiance will make the experience all the more comfortable for you. Breakfast will be served for you amidst the very wildlife environs. Relish on it before you begin your travel to Jaipur, the capital city of Rajasthan.

By 12:00 hours you will arrive in Jaipur. Embark on half-day city tours that will take you across locations such as Hawa Mahal, City Palace, and the Jantar Mantar. A trip to the local markets in the city becomes mandatory, especially for handicraft lovers as the bazaars sell hordes of locally produced craft items that are excellent souvenir pieces to be carried back home.

Return to the train in the evening and commence your voyage towards Khajuraho. Leaving Rajasthan behind, the Royal Rajasthan on Wheels will now enter into Madhya Pradesh.

Day 5 - Khajuraho
Guests aboard the New Itinerary of the luxury train will arrive in the quaint town of Khajuraho by 06:00 hours. Mostly visited for its ancient temples and the exotic designing on them, Khajuraho is one of the must-visited destinations in India. The Eastern and Western group of temples display unbelievable artistic talents of the artists and craftsmen of the medieval era and also glorifies the rich artistic taste of the monarchs who patronized the construction of these shrines.

In the evening, you will assemble back at the station to embark on journey to Varanasi - the holy town in India.

Day 6 - Varanasi
On the 6th day of the New Itinerary, guests will arrive in Varanasi a major pilgrimage center in India. A magical spell on the onlooker is casted by the very sight of temples, the bathing Ghats, the beelines of devotees, and the fleet of 'sadhus' (sages). Explore the city throughout the day and in the evening assemble at the station, for, the Royal Rajasthan on Wheels waits to move towards Agra.

Day 7 - Agra
The train will arrive in Agra by 04:00 hours. Home to the Taj Mahal, an epitome of love and beauty, Agra is also visited for its princely Mughal monuments such as Agra Fort, Sikandra, and also the attractions of Fatehpur Sikri.

Dinner and overnight stay aboard the train. In the night, the train will return to Delhi, marking an end to the historical journey by the luxury train.

Day 8 - Delhi

The train will arrive in the Safdarjung Railway Station at about 07:00 hours on the 8th day. Guests can disembark from the train and commence their further journey.

The fine silk and velvet bedspreads and draperies take you to the era of munificent living. The names of the suites beautifully reflect the two striking stones: Diamond and Emerald.

Deluxe Saloon - The Extraordinary Suite
The saloon has been designed to live up to the magnificence of contemporary princely living with elegant silk furnishings for an apt aesthetic appeal. These saloons have been thematically designed with matched color textures and schemes to augment their splendor. The saloons have been created in three different premises in tint of wonderful jewels: Ruby, Sapphire and Pearl.

Dining & Cuisines
A lip-smacking meal, presented with warm hospitality will mark the beginning and the end of your day at Royal Rajasthan on Wheels. There are two restro bars on the royal train: Sheesh Mahal and Swarn Mahal offering Rajasthani, Continental and Chinese delicacies. Sheesh Mahal is themed around glass wares and has been adorned with resplendent crystal pelmets and floor lamps, while the Swarn Mahal is themed around gold and brass.

Bar & Lounge
The Sheesh Mahal and Swarn Mahal also offer international brands of liquors on board the Royal Train. The bars serve selected brands on Aperitif, Vodka, Cognac, Malt, Rum, Scotch, Whisky and Champagne.

The Royal Rajasthan on Wheels offers a range souvenirs and keepsakes to choose from to remind you of the nostalgic journey later. You can select from an array of products and apparels such as beer mug, caps, cruet set, emboss leather jewelry box, leather photo frame, old paper notebook with train painting, Tee-shirt, etc.

  • There are 13 deluxe coaches named after the famous palaces of Rajasthan: Hawa Mahal, Chandra Mahal, Surya Mahal, Moti Mahal, Sukh Mahal, Jal Mahal, Padmini Mahal, Kishori Mahal, Phool Mahal, Jogi Mahal, Kumbha Palace, Umaid Palace, Lalgarh Palace. The name of the the Super-Deluxe coach is inspired from Taj Mahal.
  • The train is Wi-Fi enabled. The windows of the train are the largest in any running train in India to offer the visual delight on your majestic sojourn.
  • Foreign exchange counters are available at hotel counters.

Please note:

  • 10% Surcharge will be charged on departure during Christmas/New Year.
  • Service Tax @ 2.58% will be levied on the tariff of Royal Rajasthan on Wheels.
  • 15 USD per pax per journey will be charged against the payment of commercial tax in addition to the tariff mentioned above.
  • Children younger than 5 years will be charged 10% of total cost (Age proof of children is to be provided, which is required at the time of issuance of tickets).
  • 50% fare for the children of 5-12 years.
  • No charter is allowed to be booked during Christmas & New Year period.
  • Tariffs are subject to change without prior information.


Tariff is inclusive of travel, catering, conducted sightseeing, entrance fee at monuments, palaces, parks, cultural programs, camel ride at Jaisalmer, boat ride at Udaipur, rickshaw ride at Bharatpur.

Booking Policy

  • 20% of ticket value at the time of confirming the booking
  • Remaining 80% of ticket value 60 days prior to departure
  • Booking for shorter durations not less than four nights are also available

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation is recommended by email/Fax/Letter to us. On cancellation, refund will be done. Certain amount of the ticket value will be deducted as follows:

FITs Cancellation

  • 15% of ticket value 60 days prior to departure
  • 30% of ticket value 30-59 days prior to departure
  • 100% of ticket value between less than 30 days prior to departure

Group Ticket Cancellation

  • 20% of ticket value 60 days prior to departure
  • 100% of ticket value between 0 to 59 days prior to departure
