Day wise detailed itinerary

Day 01: Delhi
Upon arrival in Delhi, you will be received by RAJ Travel Consultant’s representative and transfer to the hotel. Our representative would assist you with the check in formalities, and relax for some time in your room. Later you will be taken to the guided tour of DELHI CITY.

Start with the New Delhi, drive past India Gate, memorial built in the year 1931 to commemorate the Indian soldiers who died in the World War I & the Afghan Wars. The names of the soldiers who died in these wars are inscribed on the walls. President's House, the official residence of the President of India, built in the year 1931. Until 1950 it was known as Viceroy's House & served as the residence of the Governor-General of British India . Next visit Raj Ghat, memorial to the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi. It is a simple black marble platform that marks the spot of his cremation on 31 January 1948. Further visit Humayun's Tomb, memorial of Mughal Emperor Humayun, built in the year 1562. The complex is a World Heritage Site & the first example of this type of Mughal architecture in India. Qutub Minar, built in the year 1206 by Qutub-ud-din Aibek. It is the tallest (72m) brick minaret in the world, an important example of Indo-Islamic Architecture. Qutub Minar & its monuments are listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.


Later we take a guided tour of Old Delhi, the 17th century walled city of Shah Jahanabad, Visiting the great Jama Masjid, the principal mosque of Old Delhi. Built in the year 1656 AD by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan, it is the largest & best known mosque in India. Later we walk down or take a rickshaw ride through Chandni Chowk, the old marketplace of Shah Jahanabad now a picturesque bazaar to reach Red Fort, built in the year 1648 by Shah Jahan. Optional, enjoy the sound and light show at the Red Fort. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 02 : Delhi - Amritsar (by train) Shatabadi express
Early morning, after breakfast, check out and transfer to the railway station to board on the train to Amritsar. Upon arrival iin Amritsar, our representative will receive you at the station, and transfer you to the hotel. Check in the hotel. And after taking some rest, you will be taken to the guided tour of Amritsar including the Golden Temple and the Jaliyonwala bagh. Evening you will be taken to Wagah Border – Wagha is the only land border open between Pakistan and India,  to watch Border Retreat Ceremony - The pageant of the beating of the retreat and the change of guard within handshaking distance of the Indian and Pakistani forces here makes the most charming of the spectacles as a daily evening drill. Return to Amritsar and overnight stay at the hotel.


Day 03 : Amritsar – Dharamshala by road
Morning after Breakfast check out of the hotel. Proceed drive to Dharamshala, where His Holiness Dalai Lama lives in exile. Upon arrival, check in to the hotel. Rest of the day free to enjoy own leisure activities. Overnight stay at the hotel.


Day 04 : Dharamshala Sightseeing
Enjoy your breakfast, and later you will taken to the HALF day city tour of Dharamshala – and visit The Tibetan Medical Center, Church of St. John, meditation courses & local monasteries. Evening return back to hotel and rest of the day is free to explore the resort / city on own and enjoy own leisure activities. Overnight stay at the resort.

Day 05 : Dharamshala - Manali
Enjoy your breakfast, and later check out of the hotel, and driven to MANALI -  which is once called the "end of the habitable world," Manali is an important hill station of northern India and is the destination of thousands of tourists and honeymoon couples every year. Its cool atmosphere provides a perfect haven for the ones afflicted by the hot Indian summers. Besides offering quite a few places for sightseeing, adventure sports like skiing, hiking, mountaineering, paragliding, rafting, trekking, kayaking, and mountain biking are also popular in MANALI.
In the evening on arrival in Manali check in the resort and rest of the day is free. Overnight stay at the resort.


Day 06 : Manali
After morning breakfast proceed to visit Old Manali and the Jagatsukh Nagar Art Gallery, Hadimba Devi Temple and the Tibetan Monastery before proceeding to Vashisht village, just outside Manali, across the river Beas, known for its hot sulphur springs whose water is said to have curative properties evening return back to the hotel and rest of the day is free. Overnight stay at the resort.


Day 07 : Manali - Rohtang Pass - Manali
After Morning breakfast proceed for an excursion to Vaishisht, around 3 km from Manali. Rohtang Pass, located 51 km from Manali, at an altitude of 13,050 feet above sea level which for centuries was the gateway to the trading routes that led to Leh, Ladakh and Central Asia. From the crest of the pass, one can take in a sweeping panorama of mountain ranges, pinnacles, precipitous cliffs, ridges; huge glaciers, moraine and deep ravines, is another adventure tourist site and it can be chilly even on summer day. Solang Nullah, 13 km northwest of Manali, is famous for its 300-meter ski lift. Return back to Manali and overnight at the resort.


Day 08 : Manali - Kullu – Shimla by road
Today after breakfast, you will be driven to SHIMLA, enroute visiting Kullu – which is known as the valley of Gods in India. Kullu, the town is one of the most preferred summer destinations. The sun-scorched souls of the plains take refuge in the Kullu Valley of Himachal Pradesh. The temples, apple orchards and the Dussehra festivals are what have attracted thousands of tourists time and again to Kullu. The local handicrafts top the list of must buys from Kullu. Check out the hill resort of Kullu with the majestic mountains and the beautiful Beas River.

Upon arrival in Shimla, reach to the hotel. Check in and Overnight stay at the Hotel.

Day 09 : Shimla
Today after breakfast, enjoy the guided sightseeing tour of Shimla - the summer capital of erstwhile British India. Now the capital of the state of Himachal Pradesh, it evokes a sense of nostalgia with its pretty gabled cottages, half-timbered buildings and old churches. The Mall is agog with elegant shops and bustling, gay cosmopolitan crowds. In the centre of the city is the famous scandal point. The Ridge is the prime road / lane where all tourists flock and spend time. While in Shimla, one can tour Viceregal Lodge - the imposing six-storey edifice, which is today the institute for advanced studies, Jakhu hill - the highest point of Shimla with a famous temple dedicated to Lord Hanuman. St. Micheal's Cathedral on the Ridge, is regarded as the second oldest church in north India and is known for its fine stained glass windows. Overnight stay at the hotel.


Day 10 : Shimla - Kufri - Nalderha – Shimla by road
After morning breakfast drive to Naldehra - 23kms - under a skyline etched with conifers, Naldehra offers a well-groomed nine whole golf course. Also, visit Kufri valley located 16 kms from Shimla - it commands a panoramic view of the majestic Himalayas. Later in the evening drive back to your hotel and Overnight stay at the hotel.


Day 11 : Shimla – Chandigarh by road
Today after breakfast proceed to Chandigarh. On arrival Chandigarh check in hotel and relax for sometime. Later you will be taken to the sightseeing of Chandigarh, the best-planned city of India, designed by renowned French architect Le Corbuiser. Here visit Rock Garden, Rose Garden, Sukhna Lake, Sector 17 Market for shopping etc. Overnight stay at the hotel.


Day 12 : Chandigarh - Delhi
After Morning breakfast check out hotel and proceed to Delhi on arrival drop at Delhi airport to board your flight to onward destination.
